Forgot Your Password

If you forgot your application password, please use your 24-word recovery phrase to recover your keys. If you do not have access to your recovery phrase, you will not be able to recover your key(s).

Reset the Transaction Tool Application

  • Open your HederaTransaction Tool application

  • Click "Forgot your password?" hyperlink

  • Click RESET

  • Click RESET

  • Click CONTINUE

  • The application will close and you will need to launch it again to begin the recovery process

    • You will need your recovery phrase that was generated when the application was initially set up to recover your key pair used to sign Hedera transactions

    • If you do not have access to your recovery phrase, there is no way to retrieve your keys.

  • Enter your recovery phrase and click RECOVER

  • Create a new password for your application and keys

Note this may take a few minutes to process.

  • Click CHANGE

  • Click FINISH
