Adding an existing account
This guide walks you through adding and linking additional Hedera accounts to the Transaction Tool beyond your primary account for monitoring purpose. Added accounts display real-time balance and transaction information, making it easier to track multiple accounts and manage transactions across different account IDs.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you should have completed the following:
Transaction Tool Setup: Install: New Users or Install: Existing Users
Primary Account Configuration: Account Setup process to create your primary account
You should also have:
Hedera Account: A valid Hedera account that you want to monitor, If you don't have one See Create an Account for detailed instructions.
Account ID: Know the Account ID (format: 0.0.xxxxxx) of the account you want to monitor
Adding Account steps
Launch the tool and Select Network
Open the application and select the correct network (mainnet, testnet, previewnet, Local node or custom) for the account you want to add.
Navigate to Accounts
Select Accounts from the left navigation panel.

Start Adding an Account
Select Add New then choose Add Existing from the dropdown menu.

Provide Account Details
Account ID: Enter the Hedera Account ID you want to track.
Format:
0.0.1234
(where 1234 is your account number)Example:
0.0.3456
Nickname (Optional): Provide a descriptive name for easy identification.
Example: "Treasury Account" or "Main Operations"

Link the Account
Select Link Account.
You should now see your account listed, and it will update in real-time whenever you view it.

Account Information Displayed
Once added, each account shows:
Account ID and nickname (if provided)
Current HBAR balance
Recent transaction activity
Account status and properties
